Everyone makes it so easy for me to drop my little guy off in the morning. Since infant A, he is always in the best care. Everyday, I can always count on the staff and the kids to make me smile!!!!

We refer Shelby TLE to everyone! Wonderful staff! Our first started in Infant A two and a half years ago and is now in preschool 1, and every room has been a great experience! I love that all the staff members know both of our children by name and always greet us with a smiling face!

I am grateful I found The Learning Experience to care for my three children. The staff is so caring and helpful. The facility is clean and updated. I recommend this learning facility to everyone. My five year old is now well prepared to start Kindergarten this September!!

I searched for a daycare that had the right "feel" before I went back to work with my second baby. I had selected a competitor daycare initially but was not certain. I just had that feeling in my stomach that it wasn't right for the facilities, to the personalities of the people to the clientele themselves. So I ventured to TLE. I took one walk through from the bright welcoming atmosphere to the caring smiling faces of the teachers and knew we were home. The setup of each room and its curriculum is indicative of the "learning" center you leave your children at each day. As certain as I was from day 1, I am still to this day certain of my choice and thankful every day I found TLE.

My name is Kelly I am the Director at the Shelby TLE. I started at TLE in November 2019 part time as an Assistant in the Infant classroom. It didn't take long before I found myself here full time working as an Assistant in several classrooms. I finally found my way as a Prepper Lead and then moved up with the kids to be a Preschool Lead. I loved teaching in all of the different classrooms but was then given an opportunity to be the Assistant Director and I learned so much. I have my teaching degree from Oakland University in Early Elementary Ed. I taught 2 years of Kindergarten and 2 years of 1st grade. I have three children of my own, 2 of them attend TLE and my oldest is in elementary school. When we are not at work/school we like to play at parks or snuggle up with a good (kids) movie.

Hi, my name is Brooke Reaver and I am the Center Director here at TLE. I started at TLE in 2015 as the Twaddler B assistant. Not long after I became the Infant lead, then the Assistant Director, and now the Center Director. I have a CDA and I attend Macomb Community College working towards Associates Degree in Early Childhood. I have always had a passion for working with children from a young age whether it was helping out with the children at church or babysitting. I grew up in Pontiac but now live in Macomb. My daughter attends TLE full time in our Preschool classroom. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, exploring nature, relaxing at home, and kayaking. I love being part of this family at TLE and look forward to you becoming apart of it too!

I have been with TLE since April of 2016. I started as a floater and worked in all classrooms before finding home in the Infant room in 2018. I made a switch and became the Pre-K lead from 2019-2022. I loved working with the Preschoolers to prepare them for Kindergarten but I missed the babies so I moved back to the Infant room at the end of 2022. My goal in class is to make sure all of the children learn and grow while having fun! I have 4 dogs, I love to spend time with my friends and family and go to the movies.

Hi I'm Amanda but you can call me Mandy. I grew up in D.C. and have spent the last five years in Indiana before moving here to Michigan in October. My favorite things have been the Ford Drive-In theatre and Yates Cider Mill. Before choosing a career in Early Childhood Education, I was a manager at Starbucks on a corporate career track. After reconnecting with my Kindergarten teacher, I decided to work with Early and Elementary aged kids. I have been a nanny, a Preschool teacher, and taught piano to young kids at my grandmother's church, and have now found my home in our Pre-K classroom. I am so excited to be apart of the TLE family and working with all the children. My goal in my classroom is to make sure each child is growing and learning in a safe and fun environment.
