My grand daughter has been attending TLE in Newark for almost 2 years now. It’s been THE ABSOLUTE BEST DECISION my family and I have made. Anyone that knows me, knows that my grand baby is my entire life. My heartbeat, my everything, the joy of my life. I DO NOT play when it comes to her. As a prepper in Ms. Kiana’s class she thrived! She was cared for and nurtured with complete patience and love. It took her a bit longer to potty train and Ms. Kiana and Ms. Millfey encouraged her, showed her patience and allowed her to become comfortable using the potty at her own pace. When she had “accidents” she was not made to feel bad but instead made to feel safe and confident and encouraged to keep trying. She misses Ms. Kianna and Ms. Millfey still BUT is now telling me how much she loves Ms. Tamika! As a current pre-schooler now in Ms. Tamika’s class, she is greeted every morning warmly and welcomed with huge smiles from her teacher and students in her class, it warms my heart . It’s such a happy class! She knows and recognizes her alphabets and asks me to buy the wonderful books Ms. Tamika reads for them during class. She comes home and tells us about the characters in the books. The administrative team are on top of everything pertaining to the students, teachers and school. The school is clean and safe. My daughter and I are treated with complete respect. They inform us of everything and are respectful. The one concern I informed them of last year was handled promptly, with respect and integrity, keeping in mind that they were dealing with small children who come from different home structures. My experience for the past 2 years has been nothing but excellent and I’m so glad that I did not go by the negative comments I’ve read from others. I took the time and actually went to the school prior to enrolling my grand daughter. I toured the school, met with administration and even spoke with some parents outside of the school. My only true worry now is, what will this little child do when it’s time to move on from TLE Newark? I know she will be heart broken, scared and maybe confused because this is her happy place where she has met numerous best friends. This has been on my mind lately but I guess we will cross that bridge when we get there but for now, we are still here surrounded by love, care, nurture, peace, happiness and kindness from the staff at TLE Newark.
