Ms. Tenea Starks has been with The Learning Experience of Ashburn since October 2023. She holds a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction in Early Childhood Education from George Mason University. Ms. Tenea has lived in Loudoun County her entire life and has over 10 years of experience working in the early childcare setting. She has had a passion for early childhood education since childhood and loves working with children. She believes that the love and care shown to a child will shape how they treat others in the future. Ms. Tenea also believes that early childhood education is the most impactful time in a child’s life. She is the mother of a beautiful daughter named Roo. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as hiking, yoga, and traveling to attend music festivals.

Hello! My name is Hannah Taylor, and I have been working in Early Childhood Education for 10 years. My journey working with children started in high school and continued through college; I enjoyed every second of it! I graduated from James Madison University (Go Dukes!) with a Bachelor of Science degree in communication studies and a minor in nonprofit studies. I have had the privilege of working with children in all age groups in an ECE center environment, and I have experience working with children in a public-school setting! In every classroom I am in, I strive to provide children with a loving and nurturing environment where they can learn, grow, and have the freedom to express themselves! I am a Northern Virginia native, and when I am not playing the role of teacher, I enjoy reading and spending time with my friends and family!

Hi, I'm Ms. Maria or Miss Ria for short! I am the lead teacher in the Infant B classroom. I have over 20 years of experience working in childcare and absolutely love working with infants! Hola I'm Luz. For over fifteen years, I have poured my heart and soul into working with children, showing an unwavering dedication to early childhood development. I take great pride in holding a Child Development Associate Credential specifically for Toddlers and being certified in CPR, which allows me to ensure the safety and well-being of the little ones under my care. My deep passion for nurturing young minds is beautifully reflected in my favorite children's book, "Thank You. Listening and Interrupting, Make New Friends Please" by Meghan Kelly. The words, "I love children. I like to teach, arts, play, dance" continue to inspire me every day. When I'm not at TLE, I treasure every moment spent with my family and friends, as it further underscores my dedication to creating a positive and supportive environment for the children I work with.

Hello! My name is Kabejan Sopyyeva and I am originally from Turkmenistan, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English Language Linguistics from International Turkman Turkish University. I have been teaching in the education field for over 10 years. In every classroom I am in, I strive to provide children with a loving and nurturing environment where they can learn, grow, and have the freedom to express themselves. My teaching philosophy is centered on building a safe, caring, and playful space where young children can feel free to explore, express themselves and develop a love for learning. I believe that early education should spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence in every child. Outside the classroom, I love painting, cooking, exploring new places, and spending time with my two wonderful children who are 5 and 7 years old. I'm so happy to be apart of the TLE Family.

I’ve lived in Northern Virginia my entire life and attended Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA), where I studied General Studies. I’ve been a dedicated teacher in childcare for the past eight years. In my free time, I love spending time outdoors—whether it’s fishing, hiking, or exploring new places with my four wonderful children and fiancé.

Hi, I'm Larisa. I have dedicated the last seven years to working with children, where I have found my passion and purpose. I have earned my Associate's degree in Social Sciences and am currently back at school for Psychology. I am bringing a wealth of knowledge and understanding to TLE Ashburn. My roots run deep in Northern Virginia, where I have lived my entire life, contributing to my strong sense of community and family. In my precious spare moments, I delight in the company of my energetic 3-year-old daughter, and my two furry friends, a bichon, and a dachshund. I find solace in the harmonious melodies of music, the tranquility of yoga, and the adventures of traveling to new and exciting destinations.

I was born in Bukavu, Congo-Kinshasa. After moving to the USA in 2018, I began my journey in caregiving by taking care of a baby with a disability in 2019. The experience was incredibly rewarding, and it inspired me to continue working in the field of care. In 2021, I transitioned to working in an assisted living facility, where I had the privilege of providing assistance and companionship to elderly individuals. This opportunity further fueled my passion for caregiving. In 2022, I embarked on a new chapter in my career at Goddard in Leesburg. It was here that I discovered my profound love for working with children, realizing that it brings me immense joy and fulfillment. I made the decision to explore other childcare opportunities which has brought me to TLE Ashburn.

Hello, My name is Bada I have childcare experience for over 4 years of being both a teacher and babysitter. I’m also currently at college working at getting my degree. I have a true passion for early childhood education and enjoy watching children grow and learn new things everyday.

Ms. Sepideh graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in arts with her focus being in photography. She then discovered her true passion for working with children Ms. Sepideh has worked in childcare for just about eight years and five of those years she spent teaching Pre-K She is incredibly excited about this new opportunity with The Learning Experience and looks forward to growing with the company while continuing to pursue her passion for teaching. She is also eager to meet new friends and their families!

Ms. Nadia has 7 years of experience working in early childhood education. She also has a diverse background and has worked with children with special needs. Ms. Nadia absolutely loves working with children and is very passionate about teaching our little learners! Ms. Nadia has two beautiful young children and enjoys photography in her free time!

Hi, I am Ramya Gopal and I am a dedicated Kindergarten teacher who is passionate about creating a nurturing, engaging, and joyful classroom environment where children feel safe to explore and grow. With a love for early childhood education, I partner closely with families to support every child’s unique journey. Outside the classroom, I enjoy travelling: My hobbies are – Music, dancing, and outdoor activities. I am originally from India but settled in United States for past 25 years. I have Bachelor’s in Accounting and Associates in Early childhood education with 10 + years’ experience. Hi! My name is Zoe, and I have been in education for over 15 years. I graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Elementary Education. I recently moved back to Virginia after spending four years in coastal North Carolina. Throughout my career, I have worked with children of all ages, from infants to twelfth graders. Outside of TLE, I tutor students in math and SAT/ACT preparation. I have always loved working with children and seeing their faces light up when they finally grasp a concept or master a new skill. When I’m not working, I enjoy crafting, spending time with my puppy Millie, and hanging out with my niece. I am very excited to be back at TLE and can’t wait to help your child grow! My favorite character is Penny Polite!

I began my journey in childcare at the age of 16/17, taking on the role of a summer counselor. Growing up in the Ashburn and Leesburg area, I have always been passionate about working with children. After graduating from Riverside High School in 2017, I have dedicated myself to supporting and nurturing children as they reach significant milestones in their learning journey. Creating a positive and enriching learning environment for each child I work with is a top priority for me. In my leisure time, I find joy in reading, indulging in reality TV shows, and exploring the aisles of Target.

I was born in the vibrant city of Baltimore, Maryland, and later relocated to Northern Virginia during 8th grade. At Broad Run High School, I met my high school sweetheart, and after tying the knot, I embarked on a twenty-year journey alongside my husband as he served in the US Air Force, taking us to various overseas locations. My fascination with different cultures and languages blossomed during our time abroad. For the past twelve years, I have wholeheartedly devoted myself to nurturing the minds and bodies of young children in an early childhood setting. In my leisure hours, I find joy in spending quality time with my family, indulging in the art of crocheting, delving into captivating books, and immersing myself in the study of languages, including German, Spanish, Arabic, and ASL.

Hey there! I'm Ms. Ohood, and I've been a teacher at The Learning Experience since May of 2024. I studied history at the University of Iraq and I've been teaching for over 7 years. I absolutely adore kids and have 4 beautiful children of my own! During my free time, I love taking leisurely walks outside and going for bike rides. I'm thrilled to be a part of our TLE family and my favorite character is Flexi Flamingo!

Hello! My name is Taniyah, and I’m so excited to be part of the TLE team! I’ve always had a passion for working with children, and I bring a year of hands-on childcare experience. I’m currently studying at Northern Virginia Community College, where I’m completing general courses that will help strengthen my foundation in early childhood education. Outside of work and school, I love spending time with my family and finding creative ways to make learning fun, meaningful, and engaging for every child. Hi, I’m Carly! Working with children has always been my greatest passion. I’ve had the joy of supporting kids of all ages—from as young as one month old up to ten years old. I’ve been part of the TLE family for a little over a year now, and it has truly been an amazing experience. I’m so excited to continue working with our wonderful little learners and to help support their growth, confidence, and curiosity as they develop into their best selves!
