The Learning Experience Corp. and its affiliates (TLE, we, us, or our) respect your privacy and are committed to handling personal information responsibly and in accordance with applicable law. This Privacy Policy describes the categories of personal information we collect, how we use and disclose it, the rights you have, and how to contact us.
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect when you:
- Visit our public websites, including thelearningexperience.com, tle-franchising.com, thelearningexperience.co.uk, and tle-franchising.co.uk (collectively, the Sites);
- Apply to become a TLE franchisee;
- Apply for employment with TLE;
- Use the TLE Parent mobile application or related parent-facing applications, including Bubbles & Friends;
- Submit an application for enrollment at a TLE center; and
- Otherwise interact with TLE by email, telephone, or other communications channels.
This Privacy Policy does not cover the practices of our independently owned and operated franchisees, which may collect and process personal information under their own privacy policies.

3.1 Categories of Personal Information
In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have collected the following categories of personal information, depending on how you interact with us.

3.2 Information by Interaction Type
Please see below for the types of personal information we collect in each type of interaction with us.
Website Visitors. Identifiers, Internet or Electronic Network Activity, Geolocation Data, and Inferences. If you submit a lead form or inquiry, we also collect the contact information you provide.
Franchisee Applicants. Identifiers (including Social Security number and driver’s license number), Customer Records, Protected Classifications, Commercial Information, Professional or Employment Information, Education Information, and Sensitive Personal Information.
School Applicants and Parents. Identifiers, Customer Records, Commercial Information, information about the enrolling child (name, date of birth, medical and dietary information, emergency contacts), and payment information.
Job Applicants. Identifiers (including Social Security number), Customer Records, Protected Classifications, Professional or Employment Information, Education Information, and Sensitive Personal Information.
Mobile Application Users (TLE Parent, Bubbles & Friends, and related apps). Identifiers, Customer Records, Commercial Information, Internet or Electronic Network Activity, content you choose to upload, and (with your consent) precise geolocation. We collect information about your child that you provide through the application.
4. Sources of Personal Information
We collect personal information from the following sources:
- Directly from you when you submit forms, create accounts, enroll a child, apply for employment or franchising, or communicate with us;
- From your device when you visit our Sites or use our applications, through cookies, pixels, software development kits (SDKs), and similar technologies;
- From your child’’s TLE center when you have authorized that center to share information with us;
- From data processors, service providers, and contractors (collectively, Service Providers) who help us operate our business, including background check providers, payment processors, identity verification services, and marketing service providers;
- From advertising and analytics partners that report on the performance of our advertising; and
- From publicly available sources where permitted by law.
5. How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information for the following business and commercial purposes:
- Operating our business. Providing childcare and educational services, processing enrollment applications, managing tuition payments, administering franchisee and job applications, and conducting background checks.
- Communicating with you. Responding to inquiries, sending service communications, providing account notices, and sending marketing communications about TLE and our affiliates where permitted by law.
- Marketing and advertising. Personalizing communications, measuring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, and serving advertising to you on the Sites and on third-party platforms, including through custom audiences and lookalike or similar audiences as described in Section 6.
- Analytics and improvement. Understanding how the Sites and applications are used, analyzing trends, and improving our products, services, and content.
- Security and fraud prevention. Detecting and preventing fraud, unauthorized access, security incidents, and other harmful or illegal activity.
- Legal and compliance. Complying with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, and lawful requests; enforcing our agreements; and exercising or defending legal claims.
We may use personal information for other purposes with your consent or as otherwise permitted by law, such as in connection with a corporate reorganization.
6. How We Disclose and Share Personal Information
6.1 Disclosures for Business Purposes
We disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients for the business purposes described in Section 5:
- Service providers that perform services on our behalf under written contracts that restrict their use of personal information, including IT and hosting providers, payment processors, background check vendors, customer support providers, email and communications platforms, analytics providers, and professional advisors. In the last 12 months, we have disclosed all the categories of personal information to Service Providers.
- Franchisees of TLE centers, with respect to the enrollment of a child at a specific center, so that the franchisee can serve your family.
- Affiliates within the TLE corporate family, including TLE entities operating in the United Kingdom.
- Law enforcement, regulators, and other parties when required by law, in response to legal process, or to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
- Counterparties in corporate transactions in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to confidentiality protections.
6.2 Sharing for Cross-Context Behavioral Advertising
We may share certain personal information with third-party advertising platforms, including Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google, TikTok, and other advertising platforms, for purposes of:
- Building custom audiences of our existing customers, leads, and applicants;
- Building lookalike, similar, or modeled audiences based on those custom audiences to reach new prospective customers; and
- Measuring the performance of our advertising.
The categories of personal information we share for these purposes are identifiers (first name, last name, email address, telephone number, and postal code) drawn from our customer and lead records. Information is provided to these platforms in hashed or otherwise protected form where supported by the platform.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, these activities may constitute a sale, share, or use for targeted advertising of personal information. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. You have the right to opt out of this sharing as described in Section 9, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals as a valid opt-out request as described in Section 7.
6.3 Children’s Information
We do not share personal information about children with third-party advertising platforms for cross-context behavioral advertising. Information about children is used only for the purposes for which it was collected from the parent or guardian and is disclosed only to Service Providers under contract or to others as required by law. See Section 11 for additional information about children’s data.
7. Cookies, Tracking Technologies, and GPC
7.1 Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies, pixel tags, web beacons, SDKs, session replay tools, and similar technologies (collectively, Cookies) on the Sites and in our applications. We use the following categories of Cookies:
- Strictly Necessary Cookies that enable core Site functionality and cannot be turned off.
- Performance Cookies that collect aggregated information about Site usage to help us improve our products.
- Functional Cookies that enable enhanced features and personalization.
- Targeting and Advertising Cookies that are used to deliver personalized advertising on the Sites and on third-party platforms, and to measure the performance of that advertising.
- Social Media Cookies that allow you to share content and interact with social media platforms.
Certain Sites use session replay and analytics tools that record interactions with the Site such as mouse movements, clicks, scrolling, and form input (excluding fields containing sensitive information such as passwords and payment information). These tools are used to improve the user experience and Site performance.

7.2 Global Privacy Control
We honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal as an opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. When a Site detects a valid GPC signal from your browser, we will treat the signal as an opt-out request applicable to the browser and device on which it is received and will propagate the opt-out to our advertising partners to the extent technically feasible.
8. Retention of Personal Information
We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy legal, accounting, tax, audit, regulatory, and reporting requirements. Specific retention periods depend on the category of personal information and the context of collection.
9. Your Privacy Rights
9.1 Rights Under U.S. State Privacy Laws
Depending on the state in which you reside, you may have the following rights with respect to your personal information:
- Right to Know. The right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the categories of sources, the purposes for collection or disclosure, and the categories of third parties with whom we share personal information.
- Right to Delete. The right to request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to Correct. The right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
- Right to Portability. The right to receive a copy of your personal information in a portable, readily usable format.
- Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing. The right to direct us not to sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information. The right to direct us to limit our use and disclosure of sensitive personal information to certain permitted purposes.
- Right to Non-Discrimination. The right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of these rights.

We will verify your identity before responding to a request involving specific pieces of personal information. We may decline a request where verification fails or where an exception under applicable law applies. You may also authorize an agent to submit a request on your behalf with written authorization.
Depending on the state in which you reside, you may have the right to appeal our decision on your request by contacting us at privacy@tlecorp.com with the subject line “Privacy Rights Appeal”.
9.3 California Shine the Light
California residents may request information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes by contacting privacy@tlecorp.com. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
10. UK and EEA Residents
If you are located in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, the following additional terms apply.
10.1 Controller

10.2 Lawful Bases for Processing
We process personal data under the following legal bases under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR:
- Performance of a contract for processing necessary to provide childcare services or to administer franchise or employment relationships;
- Consent for marketing communications, non-essential cookies, and other processing where consent is required;
- Legitimate interests for processing necessary for our legitimate business operations, including fraud prevention, security, analytics, and direct marketing of similar services, where those interests are not overridden by your rights;
- Legal obligation for processing required by law, including child safeguarding, tax, and regulatory obligations;
- Vital interests in emergencies affecting a child’s health or safety.
10.3 Your Rights
In addition to the rights described in Section 9.1, you have the right under UK and EU GDPR to restrict the processing of your personal data, object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or with your local supervisory authority.

10.4 International Transfers
Personal data collected in the United Kingdom or EEA may be transferred to the United States. We rely on a UK International Data Transfer Agreement to provide appropriate safeguards for these transfers. You may request details about the relevant safeguard by contacting privacy@tlecorp.com.
11. Children’s Privacy
11.1 General
We provide childcare services and our applications are used by parents in connection with the care of their children. We collect information about children only from the child’s parent or legal guardian, or from the TLE center where the parent has authorized the center to share information with us.
11.2 COPPA
We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through our Sites or applications. Where information about a child under 13 is collected from a parent or guardian, we use that information only for the purposes for which it was provided (such as enrollment, communication with the center, or use of the TLE Parent app), and we do not disclose that information to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
A parent or guardian may review the personal information we have collected about their child, request we delete that data, or refuse to permit further collection by contacting privacy@tlecorp.com.
12. Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. These safeguards include encryption of data in transit and at rest where appropriate, access controls, monitoring, vendor due diligence, and employee training. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we cannot warrant the security of information transmitted to or from the Sites or applications.
13. Third-Party Links
The Sites may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties, including franchisee-operated center pages, social media platforms, and payment processors. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. You should review the privacy policies of any third parties before providing information to them.
14. Marketing Communications and SMS
You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by emailing privacy@tlecorp.com. You may opt out of marketing text messages by replying STOP to any text message you receive from us.
Mobile phone numbers collected for SMS purposes and the consent associated with them will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the revised policy on the Sites with an updated “Last Updated” date and, where required by law, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Sites and applications following the effective date of any revised Privacy Policy constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
