With over 16 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, Maylen Peña brings a wealth of knowledge, strong leadership, and a genuine passion for children and families to her role as School Director. Throughout her career, she has served as an Early Childhood Educator, Lead Educator, Curriculum Mentor, Assistant Director, and Director—each role deepening her commitment to creating exceptional learning experiences for young children. Maylen is a proud member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and actively participates in professional development to ensure her practices reflect the latest research in early learning. A Northern Virginia native, Maylen attended broadcasting school and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education—experiences that have strengthened her skills in communication, leadership, and community engagement. Outside of school, Maylen enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling whenever possible, and embracing adventure through ATV riding and horseback riding. She is happily married and a proud mom to her active and loving daughter. Guided by her deep passion for early learning and unwavering commitment to children, families, and educators, Maylen strives to foster a school environment that is vibrant and inspiring and one that is marked by warmth, excellence, and the highest standards of achievement and growth!

Ashley is our Assistant Director. She has worked with children for 4 years, all of which has been with TLE. She is currently working on her certification in Early Childhood Education (CDA). She enjoys working with children because helping children has always been a passion of hers and she loves seeing them thrive!

Keily is our Curriculum Coordinator and has over 6 years of experience working with children. She has worked for TLE for 3 years. She has her Certification in Early Childhood Education (CDA) and enjoys working with children because she can create a safe and interactive learning environment where children develop social skills, build self-esteem, and become lifelong learners.

Linda is a Lead Teacher in our Infant and Toddler Classrooms. She has over 25 years experience working with children and she has worked for TLE for 7 years. She enjoys working with children because their laughter is contagious and creates a positive and uplifting atmosphere.

Kim is a lead teacher in our Preschool classroom. She has her certification in Early Childhood Education (CDA) and has been working with children for over 25 years. She has worked at TLE for 9 years. She enjoys making her classroom a memorable experience for her students and truly loves our littlest students as if they were her own.

Ayesha is our Infant teacher. She has a Master Degree and has been working with children for over 10 years. She has worked at TLE for 5 years. She loves working with our youngest students because of the impact that she is able to make on their quickly developing minds and seeing their growth is her reward.

Veronica is a Lead Teacher in our Toddler classroom and has been working with children for over 15 years. She has worked for TLE for over 5 years. She is a mother of two sons and a proud grandmother to a granddaughter. Her passion comes from teaching our young students and seeing their growth throughout their time in her classroom.

Nagina is our Toddler Teacher. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education and has been working with children for over 20 years. She has worked at TLE for 6 years. She loves working with children because of their love of learning, their endless imagination and their infinite curiosity.

Dani is a Lead Teacher in our Twaddler classroom. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and has been teaching for over 18 years. She has worked for TLE for 5 years. She is a mother to three sons. She loves working in ECE and enjoys the positive impact that she has on her student's growth.

Fatana is a Lead Teacher in our PK3 classroom. She has a certification in Early Childhood Development (CDA) and has been working with children for 6 years. She has worked for TLE for 4 years. She loves working with children because she feels that not only is she teaching them, but they are teaching her new things every day as well.

Shatara is a Lead Teacher in our PK2 classroom and has been working with children for over 5 years. She is new to the area and is a new teacher to TLE. She has been training with our experienced teachers, getting her ready to take on her classroom for the new school year! She enjoys working with children because of their never ending creativity and unique way of looking at things.

Belsie is a Lead Teacher in our PK3 classroom. She was born and raised on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico where she attended college at Catholic University and ultimately earned a degree in Secondary Education and Biology. While on the island, she taught for 10 years in the public school system. She has worked for TLE for 10 years and she won the coveted Teacher of the Year Award for all of the TLE schools in 2022.

Nooria is our wonderful Floating Preschool Teacher. She has worked in Early Childhood Education for over 24 years and she has her certification in Early Childhood Education (CDA). She has worked for TLE for over 6 years and she loves working with children because of the smiles that she receives and the hugs when she enters a classroom.

Lauryn is a Lead Teacher in our Infant and Toddler classrooms. She is currently a certified public school teacher and is enrolled in school to continue her educational goals. She enjoys working with children and seeing the difference that she makes each day.

Jessica is a Teacher in our Toddler classroom. She has over 6 years experience working with children and has worked for TLE for 3 years. She recently welcomed her third child. She enjoys working with children because it allows her to be creative with her students and she feels that it helps to keep her young.

JJ is a teacher in our PK2 classroom. She has over 15 years experience working with children and has been working for TLE for 2 years. She enjoys teaching children through play and encouraging their imaginations.

Jasmine is a Teacher in our PK1 classroom. She has been working with children for 2 years and has been with TLE for 1 year. She is working on her development and growth in the ECE field by taking classes that will help her to guide the students and provide them with unique learning activities.

Marilyn is a Lead Teacher in our PK1 classroom. She has over 5 years experience working with children and has worked for TLE for almost 3 years. She enjoys working with children because they give her a sense of purpose and joy that can only come from their inquisitive minds.
