At The Learning Experience of Bel Air, we are passionate about providing the littlest learners in our community with a safe, nurturing, and inspiring place to grow. Owned and operated by myself and my husband, Nick, our preschool is deeply rooted in the values of family, love, and lifelong learning. Born and raised in Fallston, I am proud to give back to the community that shaped me. While my early career path led me into engineering — earning degrees from the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins University and designing protective gear for the Army — life ultimately guided me to where my heart belongs: working with children. After welcoming our children and experiencing the loss of my father, I realized how important it was to find purpose in both work and life. That clarity led Nick and me to open The Learning Experience of Bel Air, and it has been the most rewarding decision we’ve ever made. Today, we are honored to serve the families of Harford County, helping each child build strong foundations for the future — one smile, one lesson, and one loving moment at a time.

Hello! My name is Jill and I am the Director of Staff Engagement and Education. I graduated from Stevenson University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Growing up, I always knew I was destined to be an educator. My goal in life is to never stop learning and to always share my wealth of knowledge with others. Some other passions that fill my life are cooking, traveling, fall time festivities, dancing, watching the Baltimore Ravens play on Sunday's and spending time with my family and friends. I am so excited to be a part of this awesome company and family!

My name is Rachel Duncan, and I am honored to be the Director of Family Engagement and Operations. I am originally from Connecticut where I graduated from the University of Connecticut with my bachelors in Human Services. I have been in the early childhood education field for almost 24 years. I've had the joy of working in many different settings, throughout the field, from being a nanny to working in Child Care Center’s as an aide, making my way up to lead teacher, directing brand new schools and watching them come to existence, being a lead teacher at a Headstart program, working on child development centers on military base as well as being a District Director for preschools and before and after school sites. I have a passion in watching the education of our students as well as our staff! Outside of work, I love to cook, spend time with my family, and run half marathons. I am a mother of five wonderful children, and watching them grow has been my greatest gift. I am currently working on my Masters through Notre Dame of University of Maryland in Leadership in Early Childhood Education. I am honored to become part of the TLE family!!

Hello! My name is Sarah List and I am the assistant director of the Learning Experience, Bel Air. I Graduated with honors from SUNY Orange in Middletown, NY with my associates degree in early childhood development and care. Since childhood, I have always been a natural caregiver. Working in the field of early childhood for over ten years has given me many opportunities to fine tune my teaching abilities and skills. Along with a love of learning, I am also a LEO wife and mother. Exploring the community and seeing all that our amazing area has to offer is also a hobby of mine. I am so excited to be a part of this new community our school is creating.

Hi! My name is Danielle and I graduated from West Chester, PA in 2019. I am originally from Chester County, PA and moved to Bel Air in October 2022. At my school, I worked at in PA, I was a teacher from 2017- 2019, then became a principal from 2020- 2023. In my spare time, I like to cook and spend time with my dog, Ace.

Hello! I have been working in childcare since 2016! I have my 90 hours certification in infant/toddler and preschool, along with my administration certification. I also have an Associate's degree in nursing. Outside of work I enjoy playing with my 2 dogs Ava (corgi) and Archie (pug). I'm very happy to be a part of TLE!

Hello!!! My name is Ms.Melissa. I am from Baltimore, MD. Since I was 12 years old, I have always loved children and wanted to be in the teaching field. My passion for teaching has given me opportunities to work with children aging birth to 8th grade. The community college of Baltimore County, CCBC, has given me the continued tools as I earned my 90- hour teaching certificate as well as other certifications that I use to create a fun, safe, interactive space to nurture every child's love of learning while creating a strong sense of community.
