Preschoolers at The Learning Experience® in Newport News, VA Donate 2,078 Cans of Food to Charity

The Learning Experience® (TLE®), the nation’s fastest growing early learning academy, held a food drive at its Newport News Center for the Virginia Peninsula Food Bank. The preschoolers and their families collected a total of 2,078 cans of food for families in need.

As part of the preschool’s philanthropy program and curriculum, the first-of-its-kind aimed at the under 6 age group in the country, the philanthropy program teaches the children compassion, empathy and kindness. Students are given the opportunity to open their eyes and minds to the idea that other people need help, and they work together to give back to the community and achieve an overall goal each month, similar to this month’s food drive.
