August Marketing Initiatives
It’s Back to School time at TLE! Check out the August Brand Calendars, located on the portal, for a comprehensive overview of August’s weekly themes, activities and fun days to celebrate There are three different versions depending on which summer curriculum schedule you chose: Summer of Imagination or In The Market. We can’t wait to see how you take these amazing themes and support materials and bring them to life at your centers! The weekly activities on your Brand Calendars are terrific activities you can highlight on your Facebook page. Showcase your student’s passports for Travel Guide week. Show off their handmade space shoes for Space Station week. Share the souvenirs created from markets around the world for In The Market. There are so many great activities you can showcase this month!

Here’s a week by week overview of what key messages we’re focusing on as a brand this month. Let’s Celebrate!
August has some fantastic Days to Celebrate such as National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day on August 4th or National Happiness Happens Day on August 8th. We have created social graphics for each of the recommended Days to Celebrate; these can be found in the August 2020 folder in the Hootsuite content library. Additionally, we have layered in these Days to Celebrate, along with appropriate activities in the August weekly marketing recommendations.
Marketing Support 
We are excited to see the growing number of centers implementing a kindergarten program. Don’t miss the new marketing support materials available to assist you with generating awareness and promoting these new offerings in your local community:

Social Media Support: Check out the Kindergarten folder within the Hootsuite content library for the latest post templates available.

Email Templates: Visit the TLE Portal to download a number of new email templates that can be easily uploaded and sent over to enrolled families and leads through Constant Contact.

Curriculum

The two-week August curriculum theme of “In the Market” begins on August 17th for centers participating in Option 1 or 2.

We had 150 attendees join our Back to School Training, and we look forward to hosting further calls in order to support and prepare centers for this highly anticipated season.

During our upcoming Brand Webinar on August 12, we will discuss an early childhood education topic, as well as highlight brand theme enhancements.

If you are implementing a Kindergarten and/or School Age program in your center, it is crucial that you attend our training calls. If you have not done so already, please order all necessary curriculum components on the WM portal, in addition to ordering Kindergarten and School Age inventory on the Lakeshore e-Pro site.

To ensure your classrooms are in tip-top shape for the upcoming school year, remember to purchase the following items prior to September 1st:

  • Toy labels
  • Updated learning area clings
  • Any additional Curriculum Planograms needed
  • Any updated FF&E needed for classrooms

We are looking forward to your centers using our 2020-2021 Academic Calendar as a planning tool for the upcoming school year.

As you look over the calendar, you will notice a few updates:

 

  • The months have been grouped to promote the seasonality of the curriculum
  • All monthly theme names will appear on the calendar for planning purposes
  • The new assessment periods are outlined to keep centers on target as they conduct assessments via CORAdvantage

We can’t wait for your centers to participate in the “Travel Guide” and “Space Station” weekly themes. Centers participating in Option 3 of Summer will finish out the month with “Art Walk” and “Lights, Camera, TLE!”

As we have discussed on our CEO calls, we have re-designed the enrichment offering schedule for complete alignment with the curriculum themes.

For each session, you will now have the option to select from two programs.

Session 1 for Fall will focus on health and fitness, and will feature new enrichment curriculum for both “Yippee 4 Yoga” and “Movin N Groovin.”

We are currently expanding enrichment for each of our enrichment programs. For the upcoming school year, enrichments that were previously only available for Prepper and older children will now be made available for all age groups. Stay tuned for updates regarding ordering and purchasing.
