TLE Newtown is a wonderful school that focuses on their students’ safety, curriculum, happiness and transparency with parents. We were forced to make a switch in schools during the height of COVID because ours shutdown for a few months and the saying “things happen for a reason” stands true. I wish we started at TLE from day 1 with our two boys. I have seen such a difference in our 4 year old’s learning, manners and interests since we started in July 2020 as well as our almost 2 year old’s learning and development. Both are very happy there and we were welcomed warmly by the owner and administration. -- Lisa N.

We moved to Newtown during the early months of the pandemic. I was a nervous wreck placing our daughter back into childcare during a pandemic, in a new town, and at a new facility. Indra and the entire team at TLE made this transition so much easier for me. The facility is up to date, clean and filled with wonderful educational opportunities at all age levels. From 9 months to 2.5 years, our little one changed so much. The TLE team always made sure to keep me updated through daily conversations, app notifications, and teacher conferences on her progress. Once she was old enough, we were able to utilize their snack and lunch program. Makes for less stress and hassle on this working parent. During the summer, our daughter absolutely loved the water play and activities. The list of PROs here goes on and on. I would recommend this location and team to everyone!

My daughter went through TLE and now my son is going through TLE. He started at 4 months and he's now 3 years old. I have loved every one of the teachers I have met for both my children at TLE. My children are very different and have had very different needs. From special lunches for my daughter to more hands on potty training for my son, I have been thrilled with my time at TLE. A year and a half ago we moved to Newtown, CT. 6 months until our new home was built, my wife and I traveled numerous times to the greater Danbury area in search of not only high quality "childcare" but a place that fostered strong learning skills, a clean and safe environment, and most of all a place that truly cared for our son. After looking, at what seemed like forever, we finally were able to visit TLE of Newtown. Needless to say our son has thrived at TLE Newtown and we are continuously amazed at the progress we see daily with his vocabulary and social skills to name a few. Thank you TLE!

Wow! What a great and easy transition! My son and my older daughter have been at other preschools and daycare facilities... In the past my son would wake up saying "No School Tomorrow!" Now he is waking up excited for school and telling me who he is going to play with and what they are going to do. I can't believe he has only been there a few weeks... he LOVES it! Thank you for making the change into a new daycare/preschool so smooth! My son can not wait for school tomorrow!

My son started at TLE in Newtown last school year. He had no previous experience being in a daycare/school setting and was also going through a lot of other transitions. He struggled a lot in the beginning, and everyone there was amazingly supportive and patient with helping him (and me) through this. Throughout this past year, RJ has grown so much, is well adjusted to being at school every day. He just recently graduated into the Pre-K 3 program and is doing great! I am so grateful to have found TLE and feel confident everyday when I drop him off that he is building the skills necessary for when he begins elementary school.

I have the privilege of not only working for TLE, but also bringing my daughter with me every day. My daughter has thrived since starting in the Toddler program and she has truly flourished throughout the two years she has attended. Every day she comes home proudly showing us everything new she has learned at school, whether it be new sign language, or new vocabulary words such as “philanthropy”, her daily advancements amaze me. She is now preparing for the preschool program and is it comforting to know that she is ready academically, socially and developmentally based on the amazing education she has received. I look forward to continue to watch her grow at TLE!

I cannot be more at ease leaving her at TLE, I know she is safe and is getting prepared well for kindergarten!

Christine is proud to be the owner of The Learning Experience- Newtown since May 2019. A graduate of Harvard and a former Kindergarten teacher, Christine’s passion for early childhood centers on creating a great experience for her sons and all children. Christine holds a Masters in Education from Harvard University and a Bachelor's Degree from Georgetown University, where she was a Gates Millenium Scholar. Christine was a recipient of the Red Cross "Change-A-Life" Award for her work supporting respite centers in New York City during September 2001. Christine is married to her college sweetheart and the proud mom of a TLE graduate and current TLE student.

Jessica Fiorini has been in early childhood for 25+ years. She previously served as Center Director for Tutor Time (the precursor to TLE) at two locations. At TLE-Newtown, Jess previously served as an infant and Twaddler teacher. Jess is a former EMT and the daughter of a Sandy Hook Firefighter. She is a proud Newtown native, attended Newtown Public Schools, and now her daughters attend Newtown Public Schools.
